Butterfly and Snowflakes

Hi everyone, a quick share, need to run an errand. I don't know what is happening but nowadays life has suddenly become so busy, too many things to do. It is Monday, and there is as it is lot of work to to do, and my helper called in to say she was sick. Poor thing I hope she gets better soon, I did all the housework, and after lunch sat down for this quick card...made it and sharing it right away.

Dress Update : As you know, I was waiting for my daughter's dress, and it was picked up today, and it came out very pretty. It is a plain black formal dress, but it has been a while that I designed something for her, so really excited to see her in it...will post a picture, she has a mini performance in next few days, before the real big thing.

Ok now to my card. I used a left over butterfly die cut as my mask, and inked it using a magenta pigment ink, and festive berry distressed ink. Then used the snowflakes from 3 different companies Paper Smooches, Lawn Fawn, and Kaisercraft to heat emboss in silver around the butterfly. I also stamped some on the card front. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft.
I know butterflies and snowflakes together goes well for saying, but not for the card. But I wanted to make it anyway, a non traditional Christmas card. Used foam adhesive for the front panel, and kept everything white.

A christmas card, and a stictched flower card

Sharing the left over projects in this post, since I have time on my hand.

The first one up is a simple card with a white base and a lilac front. I used the bold blooms from Uniko Studio, and stamped it in white pigment ink fro Lawn Fawn, and added stitches to the flower border, using a shaded thread. Few matching sequins, and the sentiment is stamped and heat embossed using a clear powder on a shaded vellum like material.

This picture was clicked in night time, while creating..was deciding which thread to use out of 2.

The second card is a one layer Christmas card. I teared  2 strips of paper and used it as a mask for my card front, and inked the panel using many different shades of pink and red inks, and then used the HLS -mixed mash to create the bokeh. I stamped the 2 small circles from Uniko Studio and the other Bauble from Kaisercraft and heat embossed it in silver. I used a embossing pen to draw the string and heat emboss. Later drew the bow, and some starts on the inked panel. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft.

 A look at the embossing.

Christmas card and Tag plus a card with Fabric flowers

Hello blogger friends, I finally found some time today to share a few of my projects. Life was pretty busy over the last few days, even today after running an errand..finally have some time for blogging.
I am sharing 2 cards and a tag today.

The first one up is almost a one layer card. I used Uniko Studio -background builders to stamp the holly leaves and the berries. The candy canes are from Hero Arts, I stamped in green and colored the red using markers. The sentiment id from Kaisercraft. I hope you like this simple card.

The second card is also a simple one, here I had used a left over fabric...I used to make dresses for my daughter, when she was little, so there is a lot of fabric sitting in my stash. I used the flowers and leaves from that fabric. For the flowers I added some pollen. The sentiment is from Uniko Studio - simply birthday, few matching rhine stones to finish off.

The process.Glue the fabric to the card stock and fuzzy cut it to add.

Happy birthday

Hello all, its holiday for the kiddos here, because of the patent teacher conference, so our weekend is on a early start. Sharing a card which was made yesterday, I don't think I will be sitting down to craft during the weekend. Need run some errands, and Sunday will be the day, I will pick up the dress for my daughter, really nervous about it.

I made a simple one layer card. The colors are from a challenge.
I used the sketched letters from Hero Arts, and stamped the numbers first, then I used the circle stamps from Happy Little Stamper, and stamped those around randomly, the sentiment is also from HLS.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello everyone, I am up with a simple share. Yesterday was a busy day with cooking, and lunch and all. I planned to sit down for crafting in the afternoon, but was feeling bit under the weather, with a sniffy nose, and watery eyes. Mojo is thankfully up and running, and November has been a great month so far, with couple of recognition, and showcases of my work. Sat down to make a card to share a card for today's thanksgiving. We don't celebrate it as a holiday, but I believe in paying gratitude for everything I have.

I made this simple card, inspired by a couple of challenges. Its an all white card. The owl is compute generated, it is from a font(yes, it is!), I used STAMPlorations - trendy feather, and inked up with vintage photo, spiced marmalade, and Hero Arts - yellow neon ink, and stamped it under the owl. I used a kraft color pencil to add a bit of color to the owl, behind the googly eyes. Used markers to add color to the nose and mouth.
The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. A very simple card.
The front panel is equally and symmetrically placed, even though looks bit slanted. I didn't feel like taking another picture, sorry!

A simple wreath

Hi all, my second post, the earlier one was my DT post for ATSM, do join us with what you make.
This card was made yesterday, nowadays it seems that I don't have the time to share the card the same days ;)
I thought of getting it done now, there won't be any crafting time this morning, I have a friend who is visiting from San Diego. I invited her for lunch to my house, so need to start the cooking soon.

This is another one layer card, I seem to be making a lot of these nowadays. I used Uniko Studio - background builders for this, and created the wreath. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted. A tiny house stamped in the center of the wreath. Nothing much going on here, super duper simple card.

ATSM #172

Hello all, it is Wednesday, and anew challenge starts at ATSM. Today we have, "Make your Mark".
You can use anything to make your mark on your project, whether it is pencils, markers, inks, stencils, embossing, for the matter of fact even sewing.

We are joined by STAMPlorations as our lovely sponsor, and you don't to miss the chance to play. The winner gets $10 for the shop.

I was inspired to make this card by Jennifer McGuire's -share  your kindness. I will be leaving this one out on one of the TA's, so the sentiment is well chosen with this in mind. I am not using the sponsor's image today. I have made a one layer card with plenty of dimensions. I started of with inking the top with red and green pigment inks from Versamark, and then heat embossed the flowers and leaves from Paper Smooches - botanicals 3, in gold. Then I used the PS - for all seasons circles to stamp in 3 different sizes in green, red, and white ink. Lastly I stamped the leaves, and flowers from the same set. The sentiment is from 2 different companies. Added green and red rhine stones to finish off. Hope you like what I have done here.

Masked and water colored flowers

Hello all, a quick share, I made this card 2 days back, was not sure if I wanted to post it or not. I am unable to tell whether I like this or not. I don't love it, neither do I dislike it. Since I am confused, I will share it, and leave it for you guys to tell me. I am open to all kind of feedback, so please be frank and go ahead ;)

This was a time consuming card. I started off with masking and embossing the flowers from Mama Elephant - freestyle florals on a water color card stock. Once done, I started adding the color using distressed inks - forest moss, crushed olives, berry delight, stained glass. The fuzzy cut it to add to the card base.
For the card base, I stamped it with Heidi Swapp's mixed media script stamp, and also stamped some dragonflies from waffle flower, the sentiment is also from Waffle flower.
